Although Gary is as mainstream and rigid as they come, he sometimes needs a little help and a lot of luck to solve his cases and maintain his title as Animal City’s lead detective.
The Not-So-Tall Tale of Little Man
Stewart Stick Jr., the only child of Stella Mae and Stewart Stick Sr., is otherwise known as Little Man. This small guy, who is obviously very different than others, needs to find out what unique gifts he possesses. As his mother told him, “You just need to find your thing, son. You know, discover the thing that you are really good at doing; the thing that makes you unique.”

Utilizing a rhyming cadence, these books take a whimsical look the age-old debate between children and their elders. Each book ends in a revelation leading to the child reconsidering his/her position.
